Yes, I really wished I had more than my point and shoot camera for this. It's La Palma in the Canary Islands...
The amazing thing is that clouds get stuck on one side of the high mountains that are in the middle of the island and a neigbhoring island. So half the island is usually cloudy and half is always sunny. The sunny half is arid and the cloudy half very tropical.
Here we hiked up to about 1800m where you can see the lake of clouds pooled on one side and then watch them flow over the mountain like a waterfall... Quite magical (and quite the hike!)
Alas, I probably won't be posting pics from my holiday, am not really happy with them. The decent ones are too much postcard like, so I don't know. Plus, haven't had time to work with photoshop at all... xxx Mia
