Haha, I love the juxtaposition of the cheese plate with that gorgeous natural beauty and the railway tracks! Oh Boston...:)

Thanks so much for patiently typing out your answer to my blog question! I super, super, super appreciate it! :D
I will definitely take the layers suggestion seriously. I'm going to have to invest in a lot more long-sleeve shirts though! To be honest, I never really wore scarves or boots for function. So, I'm definitely going to have to invest in warmer winter accessories!

I hope you have a fabulous week, dear! :D Hooray for a weekend in Boston! :] Have you gone to Flour Bakery? There's one on Mass Ave in Cambridge. If you haven't gone yet, you MUST MUST MUST! ...and you must get their sticky buns!

Never been to Boston but the cheese certainly got my attention

Is that a cheese tasting? What's that sauce on the side? I'm always looking for interesting new things to try with cheese!

Nicole - my pleasure - layers are the key - everyone told me, but it wasn't until I tried that I realized it's really true! I did try Flour on Mass Ave. It's good! But need to try the sticky buns!

SSW - many thanks - indeed, waterfront and train tracks side by side, very Boston...

MarchMusings - It was an all American, all-New England cheese tasting. As I've only learned in the last few months, there are some great artisanal cheeses being made in the US and New England.

Mary - it was a fig concoction - and the sweetness went beautifully with the savory of the cheese.

Loved the food photo, I always do the same when on holiday, sometimes I think they are my best photos, like in Stockholm, the fish was incredible.

Mia's sister - I should do this more often! This was a cheese tasting I went to... I wanted to be able to remember what they look like, so I could get them again... xo bb

P.S. Just popped back in here to say thanks for your comment on the Blessing of Animals! I've seen it in person (though a while back, before the church fire), and it is such a sweet, quirky, special event! Do try to go one autumn if you ever get the chance! :)

That cheese plate would make me quite upset. I would think that the restaurant is trying to take the "mickey" so to speak. I've been to restaurants where all the courses are like that and I've paid about 100 dollars and I need to go to a fast food restaurant thereafter.

I hope you had a good meal.

That was my one complaint: it was a bit pricey or for that price I would have liked a bit more ($40 for the tastings you see + paired with 3 wine tastings)... The wine tastings seemed perfectly reasonable, but just a bit more cheese please! xo bb
